The Trigg/Lyon Newcomers will be holding their July and August monthly meetings on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at the Barkley State Lodge, but instead of a lunch meeting, the club will meet at 9:30 AM for breakfast, and a short business meeting. No programs are planned for these two months. All members and potential members are invited to attend - this club is not just for women who are new to the area, many members are long-time residents.

AUGUST
Christian County Public Schools will welcome all students back for the 2010-11 school year on Tuesday, August 10. Schools are currently preparing for registration and orientation. A complete list of dates and times for those activities can be found by clicking here. Emergency Medical Technician Classes will be held in Madisonville and Hopkinsville through the Madisonville College Campus. Area 2 State Fire/Rescue will supply the instructors. Classes in Hopkinsville are on Tuesday and Thursday nights and Madisonville classes are on Monday night and all day on Saturday's. Classes start the week of August the 16th. The annual Miss Black Patch Princess and Junior Miss Black Patch Contest will be held Saturday, August 14, 7 PM, in the Butler Auditorium in Princeton. Entries are now being taken for the pageants which are open to girls age 8 - 12, and 13 - 15 respectively. The contest is open to Caldwell and surrounding counties.
