Alhambra Renovation and Ribbon Cutting
Alhambra Theater had its ribbon cutting ceremony today at 11 am. Those that were present were given a rare treat of touring the newly renovated parts, including the restrooms. The history behind the theater, celebrating 80 years this year, can be seen inside the theater itself where restoration is still taking place. The theater seats 788 people including the fully functional balcony and is handicap accessible. It is hard to take pictures that accurately describe this charming Hopkinsville landmark, but Alan Watts and Rachel Longworth bring you exclusive photos from the events. If you want to see the construction slideshow which shows the old lobby and restrooms, go to www.pennyroyalarts.org and click on the Alhambra renovation.
