Merchants Jim and Char Manning would like to announce that Main Street is officially longer with the addition of THE BLUE HERON, 7 Main Street, Historical Cadiz, Kentucky.
We support our troops.

Step back in time when you step inside THE BLUE HERON where unique apparel, brand name apparel, antiques, gifts, and art galleries await you. The business is nestled inside an early 1800’s home on Main Street and wraps around a beautiful period staircase.
Rachel Finley is a buyer and manager for our shop. She is the creator of Plain and Simple, her own original gift line.
Plain and Simple gifts capture a “simpler” time in life with a tone of primitives and antique collectibles.
We are proud to be a part of this wonderful community as merchants in our anchor store beside West Cadiz Park. We invite you in to explore, shop, and have a friendly chat. You can also find the “Sit A Spell” where park benches are ready for you outside if you need to rest from your shopping day or if you just want to relax. You are always home in Cadiz.

Even though we are blue, we are a shade of green. We are the only Co2 offset company in this region. Part of your purchase goes toward global tree replantation to help our planet and offset carbon footprints. You also contribute to World Wildlife Fund when you shop at THE BLUE HERON.
We concentrate on doing business with companies who are eco-conscious. We carry organics and sustainable cottons. The production of the cottons used for Anvil Organic and Anvil sustainable do not use pesticides or have minimal impact on the earth.

We want Americans to be employed in some way for the distribution of the clothing we sell. We have some apparel that is completely made in the USA, something very difficult to find these days.
Inside THE BLUE HERON, you will find GuardianWear, Columbia, Dickies, Carhartt, Charlotte Russe, Rue 21, Lane Bryant, Kenneth Cole, Namuu, Alternative, Anvil, Dockers, Rockport, and too many more to mention.
We are the only retailers of GuardianWear in Kentucky and Tennessee. GuardianWear donates $1 from every shirt we purchase as a retailer to families of fallen heroes in the line of duty for police, fire and military through The National Heroes Foundation.

Antique Charm Fine Furniture Polish is sold at THE BLUE HERON and made locally in Cadiz. The polish is from an old family recipe handed down through generations. Please call if you are interested in a demonstration of this outstanding product for the care of fine woods and antiques.

Check out our ever-growing Quilter’s Corner for the latest in Fat Quarters, Bali Pops and Notions to include Gingher scissors, Mettler threads and beautiful quilts.
Olivia’s Art Gallery features Olivia West. She has become a very popular young artist at THE BLUE HERON and in the future will be a guest of THE BLUE HERON on a Saturday where she will be painting in the foyer.
Peace, Love and Pets features gourmet snacks for your favorite cat or dog, baked by Gabby West. She also has unique items decorated for your pets as well as toys for your cat.

At THE BLUE HERON, even our shopping bags are green. They’re bioplastic and made of corn. They begin to biodegrade in three weeks in a landfill environment.
