Carrie McGinnis
Email: carrie@wkdzradio.com
An Illinois native, Carrie transplanted in Trigg County in 2003 and has been a part of the WKDZ/WHVO "hamcaster" team for much of the time since then. This is, however, not her first rodeo. Carrie has nearly 15 years of broadcasting experience in both radio and television, highlighted by morning show stints in Rockford, Illinois, the Chicago suburbs and Atlanta.
If you've listened for a while, you may have noticed Carrie's recent name change. Carrie and her husband, Trigg County Superintendent of Schools Tim McGinnis, married ocean-side on the island of Maui October 6th, 2008. Together they share four beautiful children, Lacey and Clay McGinnis and Sam and Sadie Utter.
Carrie anchors the Noon News on WKDZ and WHVO radio and plays your requests and "e-quests" from 1-3pm each afternoon on Real Country 106.5 WKDZ. Call the Real Country Hotline at 270-522-1212 to hear your favorite country star or legend, or drop her an email at carrie@wkdzradio.com. When not on the air,
Carrie serves as an Advertising Executive for Ham Broadcasting. For marketing advice or to find out more about advertising on one of our community-focused, locally-owned stations, call 270-522-3232 , ext. 116.
