L.A. Weight Loss
LA Weight Loss in Hopkinsville is a franchise-owned center by Chip Miles and Susie Prouse. They have been in business for five years, and strive to provide professional service in a friendly atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable.
Susie is a registered nurse who oversees all participants’ programs to make sure that their plan will be effective, as well as safe. Mary Beth Drennan and Jesse Dempsey have returned to work at the center, and both have three years experience working with the program. All of these women are very caring and energetic individuals, who make the whole experience of losing weight seem not so hard, and even pleasant to do. Most of the clientele at the center have 10, 20, 50 or more pounds that they would like to shed. Of those individuals serviced, 83 percent of them have extreme success!
The “Free to Live” plan teaches how to eat correctly, allows you to purchase your own food at the grocery and the ability to eat out at your favorite restaurants. LA Weight Loss does have its own food, but it is not a requirement of the program. The only supplements suggested with the plan are LA Lite bars, which help curb the cravings of sweets, and are actually quite tasty!
The plan itself is part of the Physician Alliance Program. It can be written as a prescription and is tax deductible, but is not covered by insurance, Medicare or Medicaid.
Losing weight can be easy; turning to LA Weight Loss for help is half the battle.

Hancock's Neighborhood Market
The owners of Hancock's Neighborhood Market, Don & Pat Hancock, had the vision 24 years ago of bringing quality, affordable groceries to Princeton, KY. Their commitment to the citizens of Princeton and Caldwell County was to offer the freshest produce and meat as well as the best prices on all the products they offered. They quickly gained the reputation for having a clean store, selling things at fair prices and having very friendly employees. People soon came from neighboring counties and the idea came about to branch out into the Cadiz/Trigg County market. Plans were made and in December of 1991 they opened a store in Cadiz with their daughter, Mallory, as manager. They came to Cadiz with the same commitment of providing good, quality products at the lowest prices possible. The store has grown and now employs around 35 people.
Customers are of the utmost importance to the owners and employees of Hancock's Neighborhood Market. Efforts are continually made to make improvements. that is why the decision was made in January 2007 to change to the ALPS (Always Low Price Store) way. The supplier for ALPS committed to Hancock's that they had products of high quality that could be sold cheaper than the competition. They became Hancock's Neighborhood Market/ALPS, Your Always Low Price Store. They incorporated 64 feet of dollar items which includes medicine, personal care, household, and party items.
